When do most car dealerships come out with most 2009 models of cars and put the 2008 models on sale to make room for the new?

Years ago, all car makers came out with the new models in September or October. Now, there is no specific time of the year. It can be different even for different models from the same manufacturer.

There are many 2009 models out now and some have been out for months. Some 2009 models might not show up until early 2009, about the time that some 2010 models will start appearing.

The problem with waiting until new models come out to shop for last year’s models is that dealers may have very few, if any, of last year’s models to pick from. You may not be able to get exactly the features, options, and colors you want. And prices might not be much better than the new models, especially if the manufacturer puts early incentives on the new models to kick-start sales.

    Right NOW, everything’s on sale. They are DESPERATE! GM is hurting to the point that the "B" (bankruptcy)word is being thrown around by the media……
