please don’t assume that I agree with this proposal
It is easy to make a statement like this one. When he bankrolls the study and puts together a truly workable plan, MAYBE I will give it more than a moment of consideration. While it would be great on so many levels to reduce oil consumption, it will just not happen over night. For instance, when are the domestic auto makers going to introduce diesel powered cars? Why are they waiting so long? Don’t know. How come when I ride my bicycle I am not looked upon as someone who is saving on oil consumption and saving wear and tear on the roads? And getting exercise to boot! No, I have been told to get off the road. Or when I ride my 35 mpg Honda Wing or my 50 mpg Kawasaki dual sport? Am I given the same consideration as any other motorist? You drivers can answer that question. As for me, I have reduced my driving mainly for financial reasons. I buy from the least expensive stations. At this time that is all I can do to have my say regarding supply and demand.
