Why do parents buy their teenagers new cars?

Everyone know that teenagers have a high risk of being involved in accidents. And yet I see parents (in my line of work), all the time, buying their teenagers new cars. Do they not mind throwing the money away? How about making the kid get a job to earn their car. They might drive more carefully if they’ve worked for the car.

I’d especially like to hear from parents who have bought their teen a brand new car.

When my girls were teenagers, I couldn’t afford to buy them a new car, a car, or even a car for myself, we public transporationed it. My daughters got cars after they had jobs and could afford to pay for them – their selves. Now if I had been able to do such a thing, I don’t believe that I would have, I am a strong advocate for older children to earn their way. The thing is that anything not worked for, isn’t cherished as much. God Bless.
