See the first pictures of the real BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo. Key facts of the new car: The long-wheelbase gives limousine levels of interior space and ride refinement. Rear seats that can be moved fore-and-aft by up to 100mm. BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo offers 7 Series legroom with seats in the extended position. Second largest luggage capacity after a BMW X5. Courtesy of an innovative luggage partition the boot capacity can be increased from 440-litres to 1,700-litres. A vehicle height of 1.56 metres means the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo has a lower roofline than the BMW X5, yet still has the same headroom. Semi-command driving position for ease of entry and greater forward visibility. Dual tailgate for flexible storage options.

This Official Hyundai Auto Canada video is a response to the original ‘Extreme Fitness BMW parking failure. Worst parking job ever’ video. This video shows a Hyundai customer’s car, a 2004 Elantra, being crushed in a really bad parking job. Not Smart. Hyundai wanted to help and this video shows what happened. We went to find the owner of the Hyundai that was the victim of the bad park job and as a random act of kindness, we gave the owner, Todd Jamison, a free car, a brand new 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring! Todd said ‘Wow’ a lot and ‘That’s fantastic!’ We gave a great car to a great guy. Smart is doing good. At Hyundai, we like a story with a happy ending.

So what does an auto show look like in the midst of one of the worst markets in history? Not so bad, actually. The 2009 New York Auto Show is looking like it will finish the season strong, with a handful of notable world debuts along with a dozen or so North American firsts.

Think SUVs are dead? Well, not quite. Acura, GMC and Land Rover have all come up with what they think are the next generation of SUVs. Smaller, more nimble and less painful at the pump, all-new vehicles from all three manufacturers will be making their world debuts in New York.

If you’re still not buying into the efficient, high-performance SUV thing, then look for the new 2010 Subaru Legacy. It’ll be shown for the first time in New York and is likely to have all the utility you’ll ever need. And for those who couldn’t care less about utility, Nissan will display the convertible version of its new 370Z coupe. Coverage starts April 8 with video, blogs and photos from the show floor.

I bought a new car!!!!

2009 Scion xB and it still had all the plastic on it!! LOL

I did it I did it! And all by my-DAMN-self!! I am a 25-year-old single mom, a full-time student, AND working full-time. So, this is a HUGE accomplishment for me you guys! I finally bought a brand new car for my family and it’s in MY name! No man can take THIS car from me! I am soooo freakin’ excited!! My next step is to be a homeowner. My savings is really building nicely and in about 4-5 years, I will be a homeowner!!! And it will be alllllll mine!!!!! Yay me!!!

If it ain’t broke… Honda will still find a way to fix it. The current version of the Fit is a huge hit having enjoyed a 78.5 percent sales increase over the same period last year. And while this model has only been on sale since 2007 the same platform has been offered in Japan since 2001. After 8 years on sale even a car as fine as the Fit is due for an update. But is the new 2009 Fit even more fit than ever or has it become portly with its advancing age like the bulbous second gen xB?
