Question by Anthony Golzae: Need some advice on selling my car and buying a new one?
I just posted my car on craigslist for 15k.
it’s a new honda . I can’t afford the monthly payments, plus i think i would rather buy a second hand car than a new one. I just like cars because they are good to transport me from one place to another.

Anyway, I just posted “Car for sale” online and i am starting my new job next tuesday. If i sell it off before that day, I can go to work by walking because my workplace is less that a mile away.

I am hoping that won’t be much problem. eventhough the area is not “too great” .
but i have the first shift from 7 a. m to 3.30 p.m. which is good .

I think i will be able to save 1,500 atleast from the car sale and I want to buy an old bmw , probably a 1999 for around 2,000-3000.
The thing is i have no savings right now and I want to buy this car . I can save up money soon because after I sell off my honda i will have an extra 425 dollars coming in every month ( that was the monthly payment for honda ) .

What do you think ?Will my plan work? I don’t want to be on foot for long because if god forbid I lose my job. I will be stuck with no job and no where to go to find a job!

Going from a Honda to a BMW is not as easy as you think. Honda is THE most reliable car on the market, BMW, not so much. You need to be prepared to have a car that needs a lot more maintenance than a Honda. Not to mention a higher hourly rate for repairs. You would be better off getting an older Honda or Toyota.

I want to add a sub woofer to my ’98 7 series BMW, but I am not entirely sure if the factory radio can handle it. Buying a new radio would result in having to rewire the entire car, seeing as how the power from the radio would overload my factory amp, and in turn, the speakers. Do I have to buy a new radio, or will the sub woofer even affect it?

Your factory radio will need a preout for your AMP. This you will need. If so then it should go as hard as your amp will allow.
