I’m going to be buying a new car soon. I want to buy something brand new – with as few miles on the odometer as possible.
Somebody told me once that any car with over 100 miles on it is used. True or not? What about a model from last year with less than 100 miles on it. Is it still new?
What is the definition of a new car?
Personal opinion, if a vehicle has more than 10 miles on it, I consider it used, but avio is right, technically until the vehicle is registered and licensed, it can still be considered new, despite the mileage. A friend of mine bought a "new" Honda with 143 miles on it. Smart move to buy a new car rather than used, take your time, get something you will be happy with, and best of luck.

I have a 2000 Acura Integra that is in pretty good condition, low miles, etc… My parents bought it for me for graduation, so it is already paid for, but I would really like a brand new car. Do you think it is worth it to make a payment every month, along with rent? I want an Altima coupe. Also, how much would be a good down payment if I do decide to get the Altima? Any other tips on buying a new car?
Stick with the car you have. It’s in good shape and low miles and it’s paid for!!! What more could you ask for? Buying a brand new car these days is not worth it unless you’re rich. The value goes down thousands as soon as you drive it off the lot. I wish I new you so I could convince you to stick with what you’ve got. The car payment and insurance will be higher and you already have rent so why not save the money, keep your car and have that extra 2-300.00 dollars or more per month to do whatever you want with? The economy today has to be played right… Stick with what you’ve got.

How do you go about applying the new tax break for brand new car buyers this year? Is it applied automatically?
No I mean the tax break they are suppose to give you from the sales tax of the vehicle. Does anyone know about that? Thanks for your resposes.
What tax break?
You mean the "Cash for Clunkers"?
The dealer will take care of all that. If your clunker qualifies they will apply $3500 or $4500 as downpayment. The dealer receives the money from the government electronically.

What is the cheapest car you can think of that has good gas mileage? A friend of mine just got a brand new car for $13,000 (Doesnt look like a cheap car, its an ‘06, and gets 30 some odd miles to the gallon). What are cars that are fairly cheap w/ good gas mileage, or cars that just have great gas mileage.
Thanks
Honda Civic might fit you, look it up.

A man had just bought a brand-new car. It was a shiny red car with a high-quality, comfortable interior. To top that off, it could go much faster than an ordinary car. The man was showing off his new car to his friend when he saw an old man getting on a shabby-looking moped. The man laughed and said to his friend, "Wouldn’t it be fun to leave that old guy over there in the dust? You now, like show him how much better and faster this new car is than his stupid moped?" His friend agreed. So they got in the car, jammed the keys in the ignition, pulled it into drive and started going. The old man on the moped started going at the same time. The man in the car pushed down the gas pedal, and soon the car was doing 100 miles per hour. They laughed as they thought of how far they had left the old man behind. However, a few seconds later, the old man’s moped went whizzing past them. The old man waved as he passed them. "What in the name of-" the man’s friend said. "That guy’s moped is beating your brand-new car?" Angrily, the man floored the pedal, and they soon were at 150 miles per hour. That’ll teach him, the man thought as he sped along. But the old man zoomed past them yet again."That’s IT!" the man declared furiously and brought the car to a stop. The moped came to a sttp also. The man exploded out of the car. "How the heck were you going faster than me?" he asked, aggravated. The old man panted and said, "I tried to tell you, but my suspenders were caught in your car door."
lol.. keep them rolling Unity..

do you know of any websites that could help me figure out how to price some baby stuff i have?
I have to agree with Livelaugh – most people won’t buy a car seat at a garage sale, even if you say it’s never been used.
I know that most good will stores won’t even take them as a donation. Not sure about a consignment shop. I think it has to do with liability.
Is it new enough (read: recent model) you can try to figure out where it was purchased and try to return it, even if you only get a partial refund?

Has anybody just scratched or ruined their new car while driving it home from the car dealership or the next day crashed it or scratched their brand new car? Even used cars, in the same week? DETAILS please! I’m curious!
Thanks.
I’ve handed lots of claims for folks who just bought the car.
The worst one was for someone who just purchased the car – literally – just signed the papers and was pulling out of the dealership to go home and pulled out into another car’s path and total loss-ed the car that was just purchased.

I bought a new Audi TT two years ago that is already showing signs of rust. Audi have told me that are aware of the fault, and did infact recall some cars for this reason. However they will not replace my car, only repair it. Should i have to settle for a reapir when i have clearly been sold a faulty car?
They have offered to repair it for free…i dont want a repaired car though…..not when i paid £25k for it!
To the idiot that thinks i should be grateful to be able to have my car repaired……..you clearly either work for Audi or are just plain stupid. And for your infomation, I have a Vauxhall Vectra that is 5 years old, without any sign of rust…and that car was half the cost of this one. It is stupid people like you that make it so easy for large companies to rip people off.
It really does astound me that so many people seem to think that i should be GRATEFUL that the manufacturer are offering to repair a fault that they sold the car, knowing it would develop, and it is still within the three year warranty. People these days really must have low expectations when then spend thousands of pounds on something!
As someone said previously, the car has some body and paint issues, but the engine and all other components work fine, right? If that’s the case, I’d be happy with what they offered. They are under no obligation to replace a car that runs fine, and in fact probably could have made some claims about road conditions or some other crap that makes them not responsible for anything. I’d let them fix it, and if you still hate the car, sell it and buy something else. What they are offering seems perfectly normal to me, and in fact gives me a little more respect for Audi. A lot of other manufacturers would not have stepped up like that to fix a cosmetic problem.

My car is an 05 Pontiac G6 Gt…. I dont know how in the world it could have an oil leak. I’ve never even had a car that had an oil leak… How is this possible to just get one??? Its covered under warranty so I dont have to pay for anything, its just weird. I’ve had 4 brand new cars, and this is the first one to ever have an oil leak. Its a great car overall, just never had this happen before.
It could just be sumthing as simple as a faulty gasket. When u think about how vehicles are massed produced sumthing simple could have been over looked.
