With most dealer no the employee price is a good bit under invoice. Now if you buy a car at invoice less rebate you will be under employee price but you wont be starting at employee price.

Question by Clinton167: If I buy a car “as is”, what are my rights?
If I buy a car “as is” (because it needed smog check and seller didn’t have one done, I agreed to do it) and then car fails smog test and will only pass if I have about $ 800 of repairs done, do I have any right to go back to the owner or is it now all in my hands because I signed a bill of sale which specified “as is”?
Also, I should mention that since the seller didn’t have it smogged, the car was in their name but not yet registered with the DMV – their name was on the title but it could only be registered to them pending a smog test. I’m unable to register it in my name but I signed the transfer of ownership. Is it still mine or is it still theirs?
Wow thanks for the replies guys…I’m happy to pay the repairs, I just wanted to make sure everything is legal, since if the car wasn’t registered to begin with, did the seller even own it and was legally able to sell it to me??
So was the seller even allowed to sell it to me “as is” if it hadn’t been smogged?

OK so I have an interview Thursday & I really wanna nail it, but I was wondering what’s the appropriate way to answer some of the questions such as the infamous “Why do you want to work” is it fine to say I want to buy a car or not, & I also wanna go to help financial payments for college next year, so what works & what doesn’t? Question by : I need help “buying” a car!!!?
So for my civics and economics class we have to do a budget project and learn how to live off a given salary. I just got to the part were im supposed to buy a car and i just found a 2005 nissan sentra with 118k miles and it is $ 8,998. Do you think it is a good or bad deal?? what do you guys think about the mileage? and how much are you willing to spend on a car?
