Question by mempto: Why do most car salesmen have a reputation for being total dirtbags?
Sometimes I feel bad for judging car salesmen, but I often feel like the stereotypes about them being sleazy liars out to make a buck at any cost are somewhat true. Recently, my family has been searching for a new car, and every time we drive into a dealership, there’s a car salesman nipping at our asses the minute we step out of our car. Not only do they not leave us alone to just look for a few seconds, everytime we glance at a car, they make up some lie about how amazing that car is…even if it’s a total piece of junk. All my friends have told me about car salesmen trying to get them to finance their cars in the most idiotic way possible and, luckily, they’re smart enough to spot a scam a mile away. However, I know a lot of car shoppers aren’t so car savvy…and I can see a lot of car salesmen cheating poor families out of a lot of money by selling them terrible cars with terrible financing “deals.” Do most car salesmen deserve their terrible reputation?
Sounds like some car salesmen are in the house! Lol, you can tell bc there are a lot of offended jerk-offs lying about the honesty of their profession. Get real, guys. We all know you’re crooks, schemers, and just plain dirrrrty.

The tagline is “Diet Mountain Dew, Not What You’d Expect”. The commercial ran on the radio over the summer. I’m willing to pay for the download, I’ve just been unable to find information about the commercial anywhere. It’s about Honest Al’s Used Cars being a commercial you’d expect, it’s like taking a regular shady used car salesman’s commercial and then they add a voiceover saying what everyone’s really thinking about the guy. Like at the end Honest Al’s commercial says “Everyone trusts honest Al!” and the voiceover remarks “His own grandmother has a lawsuit pending against him”
