Don Gasgarth and Charlotte County Ford’s passionate interest in helping Florida drivers is offering ongoing orientation and training sessions on Ford SYNC and MyFord Touch. Classes are provided at no cost to all customers and non customers alike. Instruction covers setting up the system, making and receiving calls, connecting your media player, working the controls, and getting help. Sessions are free to the public.

In 2011, three million new Ford SYNC owners have this exciting technology. Ford SYNC provides detailed driving directions, a choice of music and hands free phone calling – all run by voice command in a car, truck or SUV.

Question by : I’m selling my car on craigslist. Is it safe to accept payments via PayPal?
My car is a 2011 Ford Fiesta, and I’m looking for someone to buy outright or assume the loan. A buyer responded, requesting to pay via PayPal and pick up after the payment had cleared. Is this a scam? How can I avoid having my identity stolen, or my car “bought” with a scam payment?

Likely a scam.

Only accept payment in cash or with a verified transfer of funds from a bank. Once the funds clear, you’re good to go. Paypal money can be revoked by the buyer, and is not necessarily safe. Transactions should take place in person and, preferably, at a bank.

I’m car shopping, and I’m leaning toward a honda, toyota, hyundai, or ford.. I’m not buying band new, probably a 2007 give or take a year or 2. Ive never bought a car before and Im looking for some tips to help me out. Have any ideas??

Well, you should list specifics on what you’re looking for. Unless you want a truck I wouldn’t suggest a Ford though.

Question by julie a: Can an new car dealership void my warranty on my new car because a “dealer” added option failed after 33 days?
The vehicle I bought new had a dealer added option on it and it failed after 33 days. When I took it to them they said that it was a non ford product added by another dealership before it came to their lot and they were not going to warrantty anything that another dealership put on. There was no “Dealer Added Options” sticker on my car and the bill of sale was typed so that I was paying for this option from the dealership I bought it from.
The stripes were added before it got to the dealership but no where on the paperwork does it say that these were not factory stripes. The dealership that sold me the car did not even know it. Now all they want to do is put the factory stripes on, because they said that they can not keep changing them every 3-4 months, but the look of the car is very different with the stripes that are on it now. Also, I have had 14 others problems with this car in 23 months but online here everyone tends to tell me to “suck it up”. So now not only do I have to tolerate the very faded appearance of the exterior but also the MFG rep told me that I cannot play any non- store bought cd’s in my shaker 500/mp3 stereo., because they cannot find the problem although it has been duplicated 3x’s for them.Fuel tank replaced, passenger seat track replaced, stereo replaced 4 x,reprogram modular 3 x, exterior door handle, both seat
releases,insulation in front of dash, etc.more problem too,but I guess “Suck it up”

Question by hatwoc: How is the label of “a drivable car” used typically on craigslist?
As I’m moving to a different city, I’d like to get rid of my car. My car 1993 Ford Escort, 3-door hathback, is still drivable because I do drive it every day. But, it has some problems – major and minor – namely, side brake almost broken, weak transmission, and other miscellaneous internal problems (minor though). Exterior-wise, there is a bump on the side from hitting deer, driver side’s door (lock hole) doesn’t work, back mirror is torn apart, and side mirror’s smashed. I believe it’s drivable with some repair (brake and transmission). But, I’m not sure, ethically, if I should sell my car to someone as a “drivable car” I do not want to mislead anyone… What do you think??
