Question by dogi49: Can a car dealership “undo” the deal?
I received a phone call from the dealership after the papers have been signed.. and I paid for my new car, that they did not do the research on my trade in and didn’t realize the vehicle traded in had a Flood Title. (Even though it states this on my registration along with vin number that I faxed to the dealership before they gave me the trade in price) They now want me to bring back my new vehicle that I have already purchased and done the financing for and “undo” the deal. (Because they gave me too high of a trade in price for the old vehicle.) Is this legal? Anyone ever been in a situation like this?

ignore them.the financing has already been approved and submitted and they made the mistake not you. all they are trying to do is get you back in to redo the deal to maximize their profit and your trade might not even be the real issue. the GM might have reviewed the deal and told them to get you back in because they were losing money. it is their problem now.
everything has been signed and it is a contract and they agreed to the terms just like you did. ask yourself this. do you have the option to return the car if you didnt like the deal after you looked it over carefully I:E buyers remorse? so why should you allow them that option?

I saw an ad in the paper for a vehicle dealership that was recruiting for each floor positions and web sales positions. I have an concept what net sales is, but what does it have to do with a vehicle dealership??

they list and market vehicles by way of the Net and update the websites on a daily basis. sites such as corporate(GM, Ford, VW) and dealership websites, E-bay, hyperlinks from NADA, Kelley Blue Book and Vehix etcetera.

Toyotas, Hondas, and some other foreign automobiles are constructed here by American workers – so do they qualify as properly?
And a lot of “american cars” (gm, ford, chevy) are constructed in Mexico and several components from china – so where is the distinction?

Well, Toyota’s Honda’s and the like do not have insane union employees producing 6 figure incomes with Full positive aspects, so they are a worthy firm.

A car salesman told me there are 4 to 5 year car buying peaks, the last peak in car sales were from the years 2005 and 2006.
he said most car loans will be paid off in 2009 and 2010
and in those same years they are expecting another peak in new car sales.
any truth in that?

I have been in the business for 10 years most people try and trade after 3 years. The current popularity of 72 month and even 84 month finance will change that. We get a steady flow of customer for the most part until like now the economy get shaky then we slow down. The 2005/2006 spree was caused by low rates and big sales(GM’s first employee price sale). I hope it does turn but I wont hold my breath
