I tested a vehicle which was made in 2005 and has 45k miles on it but it still has the “new car” smell in it!

Is there some sort of spray that they used to make it or did it retain the “new car” smell for 4 years somehow.

Then I tested another analogous vehicle 2005 but with less miles and it didn’t have the new car smell.

You can get guarantees when purchasing a used car, but this only covers the problems that may occur from the history of the vehicle, which a new car does not have. Don’t forget that upon purchasing a new vehicle, you have a new car warranty, that does not come with used cars. Some of the best warranties promise a year of servicing and spare parts with unlimited mileage, at no added cost. This is not something you can get when you purchase a used car.

The benefits of buying a new car over a used one, have now been established. Financial matters concerning new cars for sale aside, that guarantee of functionality is extremely important. With the huge ego boost you are going to get, couple with all of the important factors of purchasing a new car for sale are all great reasons for shopping for a new car today.

I’d like to know that one too. I make car interiors and the dust cleaners and dirty hands that are all over the seats you think would cause some kind of stink not a new smell.

The "new car smell" air fresheners don’t really smell like the real thing, but rental cars always do, no matter how old they are. What do they use?
I don’t smoke, and I don’t allow smoking in my car, so that does help. My car doesn’t really smell like anything, though, and I want it to smell like I just bought it.

Maybe they spray them with formaldehyde which is used in the manufacture of many of the carpet and upholstery materials used in new cars. It’s also what undertakers use to preserve dead people and it can cause breathing problems. It is the source of the "new" car smell. Some people are seriously allergic to it.
