What kind of discounts can I anticipate during a blowout sale of the 2008 Nissan Altimas when they start stocking the ‘09 models?
The MSRP is around $21,000 now before their big sales. What would be your best guess as for the price asked for then and how much I could knock off that price while negotiating?

The best guess will be invoice minues the rebates, which if you try hard enough you could get invoice right now, prices are set on new cars, dealers cant really do anything "spectacular" to make them any cheaper.
Just go in to the "blow out sale" and tell them you will pay invoice minus the rebates and thats it. Be open about the car you take, they will be more willing to do invoice if you take one thats in stock.

I am close to purchasing my first new car. It must be under 20,000 and the most important factors are 1: gas mileage 2: must be sporty.
Toyota corrola, matrix ,yaris pontiac vibe its a toyota just made in the U.S. i have one good car cheaper then a matriix. No nissan… Honda civic yo may be able to work a deal on a suburu forester.

I want to repaint my 02 nissan maxima se, love the car but its been driven alot on boston area highways meaning, the front end is chipped, almost like it was sandblasted, the doors have a few minor dings on them not a problem, and just a few other scratches.. I didnt mind it much till today someone ran into the side of my car in a parking lot and dragged their bumper along the entire length of the car, I buffed most of it out and luckily there is no dent.. just the surface looks worn, this finally got me thinking that its a good idea to repaint the entire car, keeping in mind there are minor rust patches (im talking 1-2MM’s in diameter) in the front end chips, would these be a problem? I just want the cars surface to be like new again.. some basic service to restore its original beauty. I heard Maaco can do this for me.. any other suggestions for a reasonable price?
id check with a few good body shops before i went to Macao ,they do alright ,if your planning on getting rid of it,but some of their work doesn’t hold up to well,they are cheap though about the cheapest ones around to paint the whole car,to give you a good idea of what a good job would cost for it,starting price on a good job should be around 800-1000 bucks for it,and that’s using real good paint,a good job cost a lot,cheap ones look good for while and then dull out,think it over,and decide,good luck hope this helps.

Japanese car manufacturer Nissan has taken a lead in the emission free car arms race when they unveiled their brand new electric vehicle and hybrid models this week. The new Electric vehicle, nicknamed the EV-02, has a 660 pound lithium ion battery that is twice as powerful as the conventional hybrid battery. The boxy EV-02 zipped around Nissan’s test course, accelerating faster than comparable gas powered cars… quieting electric car critics. Nissan also unveiled a new hybrid model, to compete with Toyota’s popular Prius and Honda’s Civic models. The dramatic unveiling of the electric vehicle made it clear that battery powered cars are at the center of Nissan’s green strategy. The real winner in the no emissions arms race is the consumer, who will be paying less for gas, and the environment, as less emissions are released into the atmosphere. Nissan’s new electric car and hybrid set to be released in the US and Japan in 2010, and the rest of the world in 2012. Now it’s Toyota and Honda’s turn to respond to up the green ante.
