Sunday, June 20th, 2010

The information provided in “Build your own Electric Car” is powerful and easy to follow.  Instead of spending hours of research on a hybrid car comparison for a new hybrid car, the information provided will show you a viable way of taking your existing car and turning it into a vehicle that runs on electricity.  The result is having your same comfortable car but now in a more practical, functional, and money-saving way.

The book, Build your Own Electric Car” is unique in that it was written by a person with a passion for using renewable resources.  The educational information in the book is simply amazing, showing people how they can stop paying high costs for gas with a simple conversion.  The solution the author developed was so successful for him and his family, he made the decision to share what he learned with others so they too could benefit.

When the conversion is finished, you will be able to drive your car at normal highway speeds and go up to 100 miles on just on charge.  The developer of “Build your own Electric Auto” is so confident that he provides a 100% guaranteed that anyone using the information provided would succeed.  This means the cost of expensive fuel is forever eliminated.

List of Reasons Why Vehicle Donation Programs Are a Win-Win Situation For Everyone

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Thanks to Goodwill Industries and related services, one can donate used trucks, cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, boats, and vans to charitable organizations. The donated vehicles are sold off at auctions and the proceeds go toward projects and charitable services.

There are many reasons why people like to donate vehicles, and the process can be easy, quick, and convenient, just as long as a qualified organization is taking care of everything. There are, however, some guidelines, so for those interested, it is best do a little research on their local Goodwill Industries chapter .

Here are some of the reasons vehicle donation is a great idea .

• The proceeds go to worthy, charitable causes.
• The government gives tax exemption status for donations.
• Donating a truck or a car is much easier than trying to sell it.
• It gives people a chance to provide a service to their community.
• The organization will take care of the towing .
• Some programs give out thank you gifts to those who donate their vehicles.
• It gives people a positive feeling in knowing that they’ve played their part in making the world a better place.

There are rules and regulations, of course. For instance, a vehicle has to be in good condition in order for it to be successfully donated. The value is estimated by a qualified professional. Usually, registration papers and other documentation is needed in order to prove that the person donating a vehicle is truly the owner. Just as long as everything goes well and is handled professionally, the vehicle will be used to help fund charities and the caring individual donating it will receive tax exemption. Sometimes all it takes is a little research, but in the end it will be well worth it. Take the time to find out which charity is the right option.

Is it safe to place 2 new car tires at the back of the car?

Monday, February 15th, 2010

I just changed 2 tires for my car. I didn’t change all 4 because the old ones were fairly new. They said that it was safe to place the new tires at the back of the car (it’s a 2 wheel drive) and placed the old tires to the front. The new tires are different brands than the original ones. Is that safe?

By the time I finish typing this you will get a lot of answers saying they should be on the front.

All of those people are WRONG.

It is the official recommendation of the Rubber Manufacturers Association, the Tire Industry Association and all of the major tire manufacturers that when only 2 tires are being replaced the new tires be installed on the REAR AXLE.

In fact, Michelin Tire just lost a $34-million liability lawsuit because one of their stores put 2 new tires on the front axle, the car lost control and spun turning one of the passengers into a quadraplegic. And the reason for putting the tires with the best traction on the rear axle is just that – to prevent a sudden loss of traction at the rear of the car which inevitably results in a violent and uncontrollable spin. The Michelin Tire web site has a 2.5 minute video demonstrating why.

So if they were installed on the rear you were dealing with true professionals who knew what they were doing and yes, that is the safest place to have them.

How can i make my table attract customers at a car boot sale?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

What can i add or do to my table to attract and get attention of customers so they will buy my things at a car boot sale? Ive been told that playing music, and using a colourfull table cloth attracts people, but i need more ideas please. Also any helpfull hints and tips would be much appreciated :) Thanks ..

Give aways always get people to your booth! I always have some sort of a food item – I rent a popcorn machine, snow cone machine, cotton candy machine or hotdog warmer. People love free food! The smell also attracts them. We also do a drawing for a $100 gas card at our events. Having a nice proffessional set up also helps. We also have helium balloons with our logo on them. I also just recently purchased a big prize wheel and that has been fantastic so far! I think the most important trick to making any of this work is to have a very energetic & outgoing person (people) working your booth. Good luck! Have fun!

What will people do when the new tax band comes in for cars early next year?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

I have a 2002 car which is just into the new tax band, I will now see my tax rise from £200 t0 £300 then more in 2010.
I think this is horrendous considering the age of car, they should make it law for new cars only, now i’m stuck with a car I will struggle to afford

Sadly – the easy answer is to get EVERY car owner to pay their tax !

Too many cars are driving around untaxed and the government has to recover the lost revenue from somewhere – namely the law-abiding tax payers ! This happens in other areas of taxation too !

How is it that people with no money and horrible credit get new cars?

Monday, November 30th, 2009

My husband and I are in the market for a new car (as in an 06) and we’ve been told that our credit is horrible and we would need a huge down payment and a co-signer. I know of about 5 different people who bought new cars and their credit is worse than ours and they managed to get no down payment and didn’t need a co-signer. How does that work.

I’m not sure how you know how their credit compares to yours, but that’s a whole other story.

Most ‘bad credit’ car loans wind up costing you a fortune – either in very high interest rates or high car price. My best advice is to fix your credit, then buy a new car.

While your credit is under repair, keep finding $500 cars to get you through. Even if one only lasts 6 months, you’re 5 car payments ahead, see?

Also, a downpayment should be seriously considered. Even if your trade is the downpayment, your monthlies are that much lower. Pay the sales tax up front as well. Why pay interest on tax? That makes no sense. If you owe more than the trade is worth, keep it! Trade when the value exceeds the remaining payments!
