There are great deals on the 2011 inventory that still remains on the lot. With so many car companies introducing new 2012 models before the end of the year, dealerships are motivated to move out the previous year’s inventory to make room for fresh orders. Although not universal, the deals that are available on these still-new-but-not-2012 models are often more attractive than the general “year end clearance” offers found on the most recent editions.

“The best week to buy a car is between Christmas and New Year’s,” according to Jim Bragg author of new car Buyer’s and Leaser’s Negotiating Bible. Some experts say there are actually some days in December that are better than others for buying. According to True Car, the top four days to shop are actually December 21, 24, 28 and 31. Contrary to popular belief weekends aren’t necessarily the best times to buy.
