Success on the Internet for Honda of Thousand Oaks

Monday, May 17th, 2010

Looking for a New Honda Civic Camarillo California resident Lee McGee found his way to Honda of Thousand Oaks from a Google search. What began as a simple Google search for California New Honda is now a satisfied customer driving down the road.

This success story has become commonfor Honda of Thousand Oaks. Floods of prospective buyers are have been pouring into the showroom confident that they are about to make a smart purchasing decision. Business has been booming since Honda of Thousand Oaks launched their new website.

There is good reason for buyers to be confident. The major automakers are posting profits once again and the lineup of new cars has buyers excited. From futuristic hybrids to flashy new additions to the sports car segment, it seems that innovation is ruling the industry. Now the challenge of selling cars is getting the vehicles in front of these excited buyers.

The automotive industry has been hit especially hard the last few years. The economic downturn uncovered several dealerships that were unable to compete in a modest buying market. Some dealerships had to close due to poor sales, overextension of capital, or plain old bad management. The remaining dealerships are now flourishing that buyers are once again ready to make deals. Not long ago many dealerships were facing extinction. As credit scores dropped and quality buyers grew scarce, many dealerships faced hard choices about their spending. Without a stream of new buyers many dealerships had to cut back on advertising. The survivors of the downturn have found exciting new ways to maximize their advertising dollars using the internet to effectively display their inventories.

“Rarely do we confront consumers with credit issues because all of these website based leads are ready to buy a vehicle now. More than three quarters of our sales currently come from our website. Numbers like these were never possible in the past. You can truly see the experience and knowledge that JPM brings to the table.”

Scott Stanley, GM Honda of Thousand Oaks

Regardless of the economic conditions, Jorn & Price Marketing has allowed Honda of Thousand Oaks to become more profitable than ever before. The inventory leaves quickly and the profits are outstanding. Mike Davidson Honda has high hopes for continued success as the economy continues its recovery.

does dealer ships hire some one under 21 as a car sale man?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

im 19 years old and i want to work as a car sales man, do you think they will hire me… and how is it important if i dont know how to drive manual stick shift?

My nephew got a job selling cars when he was 18, during summer break from college at the local Southern California Subaru dealer. With his knowledge and enthusiasm he was a hit with the owner of the dealership as well as a favorite of the customers.

Age has nothing to do with being a good salesman, knowledge, personality and enthusiasm as well as really listening to what the customer wants is what will get you far.

It won’t hurt to give it a try, remember during an interview you’re selling your image to the dealer, so be presentable, study the product you would like to sell before you go there, do a little research on the history of the dealership (if possible) and good luck.

By the way he was well liked and was asked to come back and sell the following break.

If I decide to sell cars, what should i sell (new vs. used) and what type of dealership would you suggest?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

I’m thinking about getting a job selling cars and want to know the best place to start as a beginner? Used cars, new cars? A large dealership or a small? I’m thinking new car sales due to needing to know my product and I’m also thinking a large dealership would be better due to all their exposure ie, advertising? Like I said this is just what I think and would appreciate your input as an experienced sales consultant.

I am not really a car salesman but I buy and sell cars on ebay and I also thought about becoming a salesman for a dealership so I will offer you my thoughts based on that.

Used car salespeople are among the most hated professionals. Mostly because people are not reasonable about their expectations of a used car but also because there have been and still are quite a few used car salespeople who don’t really care about screwing their customers.

And you also have to know a lot more about cars to start with since you will have to sell a lot more varied selection of brands and models.

As far as signing on with a dealership to sell new cars, make sure you believe in the brand you will sell. Sales (cars and anything else) are made through relationships that you develop with your customers and it is a lot easier to develop those if you don’t change brand on a regular basis.

Next you need to check out what deal they offer you to start with. Will they pay you a salary when you start or will you be on straight commission right off the bat? If there is a salary, how long will it last? Check out benefits too just as with any other job you would consider.

Last but not least, make sure you understand cars in relation to the area you live in. For example, if there was a Mercedes Benz dealership in your country town of 20,000 souls, even if those cars are great, you couldn’t expect to sell too many of them.

I have heard and read that women do pretty good in that business even though I can’t say have seen that many of them in dealerships… Who knows?

Hope that helps and good luck.

3 Tips For Buying Seized And Reposesed Cars

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

What is your perception of seized and reposesed cars? For far too many people seized and reposesed cars hold a certain stigma and they tend to think that these are all vehicles that’s been battered and bruised. Nothing could be further from the truth. Most of these vehicles are in top condition and are in fact the very same vehicles that second hand dealerships are selling.

Seized and reposesed cars are primarily cars that government agencies and private financial institutions lay claim on. The government agencies will usually lay claim on a vehicle if it was used in criminal activity or even if it’s a recovered stolen vehicle that’s not reclaimed by the original owner. The financial institutions in turn lay claim on vehicles where the owner fails to make his monthly payments. These vehicles, as you can imagine, are usually still in top condition and sometimes they are virtually brand new.

As good a deal as these seized and reposesed cars are, there are some pitfalls that you need to watch out for. Here are three invaluable tips that will help you in finding and purchasing a quality reposessed car:

- Do Your Homework…

Firstly you need to do your homework about the cars you are interested in. Make sure you know exactly how much you can get it for both new and second hand. Secondly, do your homework about the company you are buying the reposesed car from. If it’s at an auction make sure you check out their credentials and that they are actually selling reposesed cars. Many companies who claim to sell seized and reposesed cars are only making these claims to get you through their front door or into their website.

- Finding them is half the job done…

Finding decent seized and reposesed cars is probably the biggest challenge. There are some good websites that keep and maintain a database of all the seized vehicles that are for sale throughout the USA. Only a handful of these web services are actually connected to the various agencies and auction houses. Be careful of websites that only act as a middleman – make sure the give you direct access to their database that will enable you to search for specific vehicles and their locations. Finding the best deals is all about the quality of the website you are searching on and their database. Some dealerships claim to sell bargain reposesed cars, but it’s usually just an incentive for you to buy. Go instead to the source. Go and buy where the dealerships buy. This is where you will find the real deals.

- Be auction sassy…

When you do find your dream vehicle at that unbelievable price, you still need to be vigilant – especially at auctions. If you are not very good with cars and engines, then ask someone who is to accompany you. Check the vehicle thoroughly before bidding starts. Auctioned vehicles are sold ‘as-is’. If a third party grades or examines the vehicles, make sure they are reliable, especially at online auctions. And when you bid…don’t get caught up in the bidding. Fix your price and don’t bid above that!

If you just can’t afford that car that you really want, then seized and reposesed cars might just be what you are looking for. This is by no means an inferior source. Dealers and wholesaler have been buying their stock from these seized and repossessed auctions for a long time. With the internet these databases are available to the general public and you no longer need any special ‘contacts’ to get access to this great resource. Providing that you are vigilant and you do your due diligence you can’t really go wrong.

When do people put their cars up for sale?

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

It’s been a while, and I’ve been wanting to purchase an Audi A6 (2006-2008), and I checked almost every website out there (private seller ONLY). Unfortunately, people are not selling their cars and I continue to wait for updates, yet there are none. My father says there will be more during March-May due to Taxes. I’m just so tired of waiting. Any advices? Around what month do you think there would be more cars for sale?

Between March and May as your father said, due to tax season, warmer weather, and high school kids getting anxious to own some wheels. :D

Buy Seized Cars for Sale – Where to Buy Cheap Used Cars Online

Monday, November 9th, 2009

There are several ways to buy cheap cars. You can buy low&wshyp;priced used cars from second hand car dealers, check the classified ads for cars on sale or use eBay at which there are persons selling cheap cars.

However, one of the best ways to save bucks on cars is through seized car auctions. You can buy seized cars for sale at a inexpensive price.

Most cars that are up on seized car auctions are repossessed or seized cars. Therefore, sometimes, the cars are continuing to in fairly good condition. There are wide selections available these types of days in repo car auctions.

These days, the merde of vehicles seized by the government have grown exponentially to the point at which the government can not afford to keep and maintain all the seized cars from the time of it be worth money.

Therefore, you can foresee many cheap car deals on repo car auctions. They need to get rid of these seized cars as soon as possible to free of charge up space for more repossessed cars. So it is not uncommon to buy cars that are still relatively new and cost alone 10% to 50% of the contemporary economic price.

These seized car auctions are held all over the globe though the dates are sometimes difficult to find out. You can search classified ads in your local newspaper at which sometimes, they will post an ad.

Another way to find these types of seized car auctions is online. There are several websites that are dedicated to list the current seized car auctions in your area. Sometimes, they will also extend the latest seized car auction listings, bid offers, appearing prices and so on.

This provides a desired way of comprehending which model of cars are on auctions and their price points before you even need to go the auto auction.

Buying seized cars for sale is certainly one of the lesser known ways of buying low&wshyp;priced cars. Many people actually use this to embark on a business of obtaining and selling cars.
