Question by mempto: Why do most car salesmen have a reputation for being total dirtbags?
Sometimes I feel bad for judging car salesmen, but I often feel like the stereotypes about them being sleazy liars out to make a buck at any cost are somewhat true. Recently, my family has been searching for a new car, and every time we drive into a dealership, there’s a car salesman nipping at our asses the minute we step out of our car. Not only do they not leave us alone to just look for a few seconds, everytime we glance at a car, they make up some lie about how amazing that car is…even if it’s a total piece of junk. All my friends have told me about car salesmen trying to get them to finance their cars in the most idiotic way possible and, luckily, they’re smart enough to spot a scam a mile away. However, I know a lot of car shoppers aren’t so car savvy…and I can see a lot of car salesmen cheating poor families out of a lot of money by selling them terrible cars with terrible financing “deals.” Do most car salesmen deserve their terrible reputation?
Sounds like some car salesmen are in the house! Lol, you can tell bc there are a lot of offended jerk-offs lying about the honesty of their profession. Get real, guys. We all know you’re crooks, schemers, and just plain dirrrrty.

Query by Katherine Jones: Can I have some difficulties with a sold used car “as is” with a bill of sale which contradicts itself?
I sold my utilized vehicle for x$ . Prior to I sold it, I let know the purchaser that the car had a problem. I fixed it long time ago, but the problem would nevertheless remain. She nevertheless agreed to purchase it figuring out everything. We signed a bill of sale that stated that I would give her a certain volume of time to examine the vehicle, and if the auto have some problems I WOULD Nevertheless Maintain THE Money. We did not know considerably of how to do a bill of sale, that is why it sounds contradictory. Now, she took it to a mechanic and says that the automobile has the dilemma that I have informed her prior to plus other difficulties. She claims for the money back, but I have already invest the funds in one more car. She says that she will take me to court, and I am a little scared. Plus, I do not even have an address in which somebody can reach me. I am constantly moving. So, how am I gonna know if I am becoming sued? Can I have some problems? Is the bill of sale valid? What really should I do in this situation? Thank you!!!!

If both of you signed the Bill of Sale, it is valid. There could be a dispute more than the wording or the intent but the document is legal.

Let her sue you. Hardly ever in a dispute like this would you drop.

This probably sounds like a dumb question but why do new cars feel so "light" when you drive the as opposed to an older car that feels "heavy" and sluggish? Is it the shocks? or Engine build up? Can you restore an old car to feel light like a new one? Thanks!

Every year it snows and freezes my car will be completely off but it sounds like the car is on, and air is blowing from the vents. But again the car is off. My car has done this the every year, for the last three years. What can I do so this won’t happen this year? I always need a new blow motor and some sort of switch that melts.

they have the electronic blower switches that are made for cars in hot climates. they haave an enamel that keep it from overheating and can be prchased online. theyre not expensive but are a pain to put in. if you replace the switch it should keep the problem from happening again and stop the malfunction

My wife and I found a 2001Honda Odyssey with 91,000 miles. Everything sounds fine but it has a new transmission. Is that a red flag?

You probably should question the owner, about why the transmission went out….

Could have been a bad trans…

could be they towed a 50 foot sailboat with it….

could be they let their 16 year old drive it….

Either of the last two..would be a red flag to me…..
