Question by Sam 4: 1985 Shelby Charger Reviews/comments?
I am thinking about purchasing a manual 5 speed ’85 Shelby Charger with 93k on it at 2500 (OBO).

My question to all of the yahoo community is what do you think of the car and what should I know about it? This car was garaged for a while and I hope to see it on Tuesday, but until then what are your “reviews” or knowledge of the car. Please add if you owned a Shelby Charger or not.

these were very popular in their day

The big issue will be parts – there are a number of very unique parts to the Shelby

the other will be these have a history of being driven really hard (I don’t recall if the Shelby had a turbo or not)

Question by math: Why are those who say, “buy American car” not buying Chevrolet Volt?
At least they should purchase the chevy volt and set true example of how sincere they are.
And why are those who say, “i will never use arab oil for car if i get the chance”, not buying Nissan Leaf ?
Also why are those who say, “I will never use any product that’s not made in USA” still using computer and being present on yahoo answers?
chevy volt: needs to be charged with wall plug for 12 hours, to drive 40 miles at maximum. Every 40 miles requires a 12 hour charge plug

nissan leaf: 51 horsepower, quarter liter engine, with half cylinder and cannot drive more than 80 miles in any 24 hour period.
chevy volt is 43000 dollars. nissan leaf is 37000 dollars. both cars combined cost 90,000 dollars. but neither seen on road

Question by quikdraw77: “Buyin’ a Utilized Vehicle” 101? Any person?
Hey peeps….its me again. this is my 3rd auto-connected question that i’ve place into Yahoo Answers, so i guess im acquiring a bit repetitive…..oh well, right here goes:

- I was on the task driving close to, and all of a sudden i observed it – a quite healthful lookin’ Chysler Concord…..

- I’ve passed by this vehicle quite a couple of instances prior to, but by no means truly paid any critical mind to it. It had the “For Sale” tab on it, but then it was taken down…..and now its BACK UP Once again….

- Upon approaching the auto, i observed that the interior was Quite clean, as nicely as its exterior. I also came to recoginze that the car has passed THIS YEAR’S inspection (by a couple of months)

What i wanna know: Is a passed vehicle inspection adequate sufficient to sell an individual on purchasing the vehicle?? I imply, the vehicle was checked out, and was gavin it the A-OK not that prolonged ago……

Note: He’s promoting the Automobile for $ 2500 or Best Provide (which ima push to $ 2000..haha)

So….would any of you go for it?

Question by lsuen: Canadian buying already imported US cars!?
Hello, I asked a smiliar question before but Yahoo! answer does not allow me to reply. so a follow up question here.

If a Canadian buys a vehicle that’s already in Canada from an American car broker. The buyer didnot actually import the vehicle, he simply buys an imported product. Does he need to park the car in US for 3 days to clear custom? Do he needs to pay RIV fee? I understand he needs to pass tire inspection, safety and emission test. But is he clear of custom process for import/export? I don’t know if this is a loop hole in the law or not. Can an American sell used cars in Canada with out going through custom? Simply drive across the boarder. Is there a regulation on trading or selling “used good” between individuals on the book? Yes, this is exporting good to Canada but this is in ways of not “declaring” selling goods to Canada.
Will the Canadian buyer be able to register the vehicle without custom paper work? Just the Certificate of Title, Clearance of recalls and warrenty. Please advise. Thanks.
