Question by April_Dawn: What is the worst expertise you’ve had involving the police without obtaining broken any laws.?
One particular time when I was in middle school, I’d had to ride my bike home and had to stop at the retailer for some stuff I needed. Properly when I came out of the store there had been these two men and women by my bike. As I went to unlock my bike and leave, they come to me asking exactly where I got the bike, saying it was stolen (effectively I’d had this bike for a couple years now. It had been second hand and these two jerks had brand new bikes. I was just a middle school kid) and I’m like “My Mom purchased it from a yard sale.” Effectively the police had been referred to as. I explained to the cop that my Mom had purchased it for me a good extended although back. Effectively the cop had to take it into custody and I had to ride home in the back of a cop car and take the city buses (which means I had to get up earlier simply because the two buses I had to take ran funky) to school although I was staying across town with my Sister for the Summer and had been riding my back through a handful of shortcuts that had been ideal for biking to my school for Summer Classes since I hadn’t carried out too effectively in the school year.

They kept my bike for much more than a couple weeks and in the finish, the jerks couldn’t prove it was theirs but my Sister insisted on painting it to avoid any troubles later on. Properly, she painted it truly ugly colours (black and orange) which I hated so I just never bothered with it once it started having problems with air leaking out of the tires.

Can you beat that story? No stories exactly where you’ve truly broken any laws.
I genuinely do not think an officer of the law can actually put themselves in my shoes. You guys are the ones that dole out tickets and take things for investigations that may possibly genuinely inconvenience the owner. (It was an old bike. The sort that quite couple of people would have the papers for any a lot more. The variety you locate sold at yard sales and at thrift retailers for less than 20 dollars. Not to mention it was a replacement for a bike that had been stolen out of my own yard (Despite getting been locked up).
Not to mention, I didn’t say that the cops have been rude, just that they had to be involved simply because the Jerks couldn’t just be happy they had great shiny new bikes that didn’t want new brakes or any other parts replaced.

They drove you house, absolutely nothing about them becoming rude – I guess anything outside of that would be poor since you had a pretty streamlined encounter. So your worst knowledge with the police was since they were undertaking their job by conducting a valid investigation? Somebody produced a viable allegation, as any affordable individual would, and in the end it was your sister that painted your bike like a pumpkin…hmmm.

Looks like you are on your way to becoming a socially active Liberal.

Yeah – we were never ever children – I was born with a gun, shield, and a mustache. Sounds to me that the cops had the negative experience from dealing with you.

do you know of any websites that could help me figure out how to price some baby stuff i have?

I have to agree with Livelaugh – most people won’t buy a car seat at a garage sale, even if you say it’s never been used.
I know that most good will stores won’t even take them as a donation. Not sure about a consignment shop. I think it has to do with liability.
Is it new enough (read: recent model) you can try to figure out where it was purchased and try to return it, even if you only get a partial refund?
